Mr, Bilal Hussain has been employed as a Researcher under H2020 Marie Curie Project FiWiN5G . He is also enrolled as a  Doctoral student at Scoula Superiore Sant’Anna under the supervision of Prof, Antonella Bogoni. He has completed his Masters degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in the field of microwaves. Mr, Bilal Hussain has been a recipient of two Marie Curie Grants under FP7 and H2020 programs of European Union. Prior to joining CNIT, He was employed by INESC TEC, Porto Portugal as an Early Stage researcher. He has been working with Ultra Wide band CMOS amplifier design, Antenna Design, Meta-materials and filter design. He has authored 10 research papers which are published in various conferences and journals. Currently, He is working on implementation of polarization in-sensitive receiver for radio over fiber 5G systems in integrated circuit technologies. Mr, Hussain has a thorough experience in design and  testing of CMOS based integrated circuits for High frequency applications, UWB antennas, Fractal Antennas, multilayer Printed Circuit Boards and passive Photonic Integrated circuits. He has worked on various projects for industrial partners such as Ericsson AB Sweden, Arkivator AB Sweden and TES electronic Solutions, Germany. Mr Hussain has also served as RF Imaging Engineer for GE HealthCare in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

His research interests include: Microwave Photonics, CMOS RFIC Design, Antennas and microcontrollers. He is an active member of NASA student chapter and a former member of SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) a project of UC Berkley.  He has also developed microcontroller based gadgets such as Indoor Temperature Monitor,  acoustic levitator and a 3D printed cell phone controlled telescope.
